Holiday Glow Up 2021

Holiday Glow Up is in full effect now that the years seem to be creeping up faster and faster!

While I am certainly a believer in embracing my age, I surely recognize that with that comes a deeper understanding, dedication, interest, and power in choosing how I want to approach it. I love feeling and looking my best, but I don’t like overthinking it. I have had many, many years of trial and error in the beauty department, and now have some tried and true tricks that keep me feeling fresh.

Supple hydrated skin is everything! Hydra facials are the Holy Grail for me. The HydraFacial is a medical-grade resurfacing treatment that clears out your pores, plus it hydrates your skin. The four-step treatment includes cleansing, exfoliating, extracting, and hydrating the skin with serums that are infused into pores with the HydraPeel Tip, a pen-like device. It literally vacuums out pores and infuses them with intensive serums, leaving me glowing like a baby. It’s incredible. I mean it! Total miracle.

The lip blushing is another game-changer that I invested in. It’s semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing that is so subtle and natural, adding a hint of color and shape to my lips. I have absolutely loved it. It’s so fresh and subtle, and it doesn’t hurt. Plus it lasts up to two to three years.

SPF is non-negotiable at this stage. I keep it constant with Colorescience products. Sun forgettable Brush-on Shield is my go-to daily. I have recently tried PRP ( Platelet Rich Plasma ) A PRP facial uses growth factors from your blood platelets at high concentrations to restore a youthful glow to your skin. A typical treatment will usually involve three main steps: Preparation: Before the facial can begin, your provider will first need to isolate PRP from your blood. The second step consists of Microneedling: Once the anesthetic has taken effect, your provider will use a special roller or device to prick the skin. The deeper the micro-needling the better results you’ll see in your skin. The third step is the Application: your provider will apply the concentrated PRP to the treatment area and massage it into the skin. When I tell you that your skin looks amazing it really does. I have had friends look at me and say “your skin looks amazing, your glowing” and that has been after I did the PRP. PRP therapy can significantly improve the condition of your skin and repair various types of skin imperfection including acne scars, sun spots, melasma, stretch marks, and wrinkles.

The rest is just gravy! These things have really stopped time for me because they are easy and fast, and most of all they leave me feeling good about the self-care that I am investing in for myself.
