Wednesday Wisdom : Setting Positive Intentions For The Holiday

As we are entering into this holiday season, I know that it can be a stressful and emotional time for many of us. While the seasons festivities, as well as the closing of a year can be a time of great celebration, it can also be a time of deep contemplation or struggle Thinking about Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, etc., doesn’t have to feel like a chore or so overwhelming After all, we have a choice in the meanings we attach to these holidays and how we hold those meanings.

A dear friend decided to put together an evening, with all her girlfriends to sip tea, set positive intentions, reflect on the learning’s of the year that we are ushering out, and most of all, support one another in anything that we chose to share. I am so thankful that I had that night to reflect, share, listen, support and breathe health and light with all these amazing woman. It’s always a beautiful experience to do something supportive and positive in a collective way. There is great power in numbers. Couple that with love, non-judgment and support and mountains can be moved. I am so blessed to have these amazing woman to travel through life with.

I encourage all of you to consider taking some time out of your day to set positive intentions for yourself as we enter this holiday season. It is a great opportunity to deepen into our selves and express gratitude for the joys and victories of the year, no matter what they are, and to set the tone for the year ahead. It’s a gift that only costs you your time and presence and one that will surely yield the most sweetness. Here’s to you, my lovely friend’s. May blessings of peace abound.
